“Don’t Hold A Pity Party for Me!”

——You will be there alone – I won’t be there.——

One of things I always remember the Pastor from my other church saying don’t have a “Pity Party” She also told me not to harbour a victim’s mentality. It’s good sounds advice!!!

We do have control over our own behaviour and how we act and respond to events and different circumstances.

When you continually think negatively all you do is draw more negativity towards you. Thinking positively and acting that way is a mindset that needs to be cultivated.

What you think about on a daily basis defines how you behave and your daily actions. When you begin to take responsibility for yourself and start setting yourself achievable goals to improve your mental health (mind/soul) physical health (body) spirit (faith, hope, love, character and perseverance)

My daily life begins in the morning with prayers for others and prayers for myself which come from the bible ending with putting on the “Armour of God.”

Then I read my bible plans. It’s a daily discipline, I have to wake up earlier to undertake it all before I leave the house, but it leaves me feeling Positive and Motivated for my day ahead.

I continually keep an account of requests to God throughout the day. We forget our dependency on God, but he will transform ordinary days into those filled with Hope and Opportunity.

I recently went away on a trip with my daughter and I asked God to help me not to snore! She said she hardly heard me snoring and it was great to sleep without feeling her elbows between my shoulder blades trying to wake me up. 😀
