ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE

Attitude of Gratitude .

I want to express my gratitude for my connections and reflect on the valuable experiences we’ve shared through our collaborations and the communities we’ve been part of.

Your support has been instrumental in our collective success. and I truly appreciate the journey we’ve taken together .

With my entrepreneurial pursuits I understand the concept that working as a team and building a community can have outstanding results. Not a one man show, everyone plays a part, no matter how small.

Many of us have missed out on a lot of opportunities. In theses days and age there are so many projects, literally tens of thousands out there and even thousands launch every single day.

Scepticism, lack of time, money and fear because of the lack of skill set has held us back from committing and getting involved

I have always sought to support individuals who, like myself start at ground level and are willing to adapt and grow on their journey to success.

Despite the decline in some industries there are still plenty of equally valuable opportunities available.

There will always be a better product or better system, but it’s how we relate to ourselves, the project and how the community come together that creates the amazing team and community.

When assessing an opportunity it’s important to focus on the source to get the most accurate facts, do not make your assessment by who shares the opportunity with you. Evaluate the situation and make your decision based on your own intellect, values, vision and personal relevance.

Spring users in fresh opportunties.

Are you as excited as I am to be a pioneer into something new? Let’s dive into this opportunity that is expanding into Europe.

🥶WINTER🥶

I was really looked forward to Christmas and spending time with family and friend’s. But then Christmas Day was short and sweet and Boxing Day a friend of whom I had agreed to spend time with had the flu so I found myself alone at home.

New Years Eve, myself and two friends went out to watch our regular band “The Big Blue- Sussex Band “ with a set menu at a Curry House. It was ok, but I wouldn’t do it again, even though I left them a good review, I can see they worked hard to make everything successful for the evening. I am not used to eating so late. One of the friends insisted on a “doggy bag” then took half my meal home with her. Actually, as I am currently without a microwave, so I had to say it was acceptable!

New Years Day it was pouring with rain, so I didn’t go out. Just chilled and caught up with things I had been putting off for a while. Thankfully, I was able to work from home on the day that followed and then in the office for a couple of days the following week.

Glad to receive an electric blanket as a gift from my daughter for Christmas. Makes it easier to sleep. I have slept so much better since my move. Since COVID I had a bit of Tinnitus, it does come and go. I have very good hearing and unfortunately, can hear the hot water boiling in the cylinder when on Economy 7. So I try to get to bed early so I am asleep before this noise begins.

Then a friend gave me an electric radiator that blows hot air as well as the radiator element. This is much better and keeps the room warmer while I work. You almost need to go outside to come in again to appreciate the warmth!

I know some of my work colleagues don’t put their heating on but sit with their coats on and fingerless gloves.

I’m the only person that doesn’t have gas heating in this building that I live in, though coming in from the cold air, the room feels warm so I may benefit it a little from heat rising from their flats. Just first thing in the morning it’s harder than it would be normally to get up. Dark morning’s when I leave at 7am to go to work, then it’s dark on my return. Winter seems longer this year, thankfully we didn’t get that much snow, it’s mostly been raining and cold. Hardly any sunshine.

My car has been in the wars. Bashed the wing mirror, it cost me £100 to get repaired which was cheap as a friend sorted it out for me. Sadly, my car is looking quite rough now, with scratches on the paint work and the door handle covers have dropped off. I got my church house group to pray the car got through the MOT. Thank God it did. It is a cheap little run around that i bought when it was six years old, now it’s twelve years old and I need to keep going a few more years yet.

In the day, it’s a challenge to keep the electric bill down. Since having the Smart Meter installed at least I can see what uses the energy. I rarely use the oven. I manage to eat quite well using the Air Fryer, Slow Cooker and hob. I still have a pressure cooker, just about remember how to use it. The main point being how to let it off the heat and release naturally. The pressure drops quite fast, then It’s safe to open.

Basically, you have to cook differently when you know you don’t have a microwave to heat meals up.

I used to use a Microwave quite a bit and will get one in March, so that I can enjoy jacket potatoes again.

January was quite a quiet month for socialising, I try did get out to see Stuart Bligh sing solo and I made this video which we collaborated on via Instagram Follow Stuart Bligh on Instagram and it got over 1k views Then I have also shared it on My TikTok and my other platforms. Stuart told me he got a couple of bookings as a result. Well that was good to know, very encouraging! I’ve been supporting his band and his solo gigs for twelve years now. He always refers to me and my friends as “friends” gives us a hug when he sees us. We have been all over East Sussex to lots of country pubs, some in really remote places.

Stuart also hosts a “Blues Weekend” called “Beer, Rhythm & Blues” in Beer https://www.beerbluesfestival.co.uk

Last year the weather was bitter cold, the year before though it was lovely. As it’s in October, your guess is as good as mine to what the weather would be like!

I am planning to go somewhere warmer this year early Autumn but where I haven’t decided yet.

Guard Your Heart – for everything you do flows from it.

Guard Your Heart

A Biblical Perspective on Health & Wellbeing.

In today’s fast-paced and interconnected world, it is becoming increasingly challenging to maintain a sense of peace and purity within our hearts. The Bible, however, provides us with timeless wisdom on how to guard our hearts and protect our innermost being.

Understanding the Heart:

The heart, as described in the Bible, is not merely the physical organ that pumps blood but refers to the core of our being, encompassing our thoughts, emotions, desires, and will. Proverbs 4:23 advises, “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” This verse emphasizes the importance of protecting our hearts as it influences our actions, attitudes, and relationships.

Recognizing the Threats:

To effectively guard our hearts, we must first identify the potential threats that can negatively impact our innermost being. The Bible warns us about various dangers, including negative influences, sinful desires, unhealthy relationships, and worldly distractions. These threats can lead to bitterness, anger, envy, lust, and other destructive emotions that hinder our spiritual growth.

Practical Steps to Guard Your Heart Biblically:

1. Fill your heart with God’s Word: Regularly reading and meditating on the Scriptures helps us align our thoughts and desires with God’s truth. Psalm 119:11 says, “I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.” By immersing ourselves in God’s Word, we gain wisdom, discernment, and the ability to resist temptation.

2. Cultivate a prayerful life: Prayer is a powerful tool that allows us to communicate with God and seek His guidance, strength, and protection. Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us to “not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Through prayer, we invite God into our hearts, allowing Him to guard and transform us from within.

3. Choose your company wisely: Surrounding ourselves with godly influences is crucial in guarding our hearts. Proverbs 13:20 advises, “Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.” Associating with those who share our values and encourage spiritual growth helps protect us from negative influences and keeps us accountable.

4. Guard your eyes and ears: In a world filled with visual and auditory temptations, it is essential to be mindful of what we expose ourselves to. Jesus warns in Matthew 6:22-23, “The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light.” By being selective about the media we consume, the conversations we engage in, and the environments we frequent, we can safeguard our hearts from impurity and negativity.

5. Seek the Holy Spirit’s guidance: The Holy Spirit is our constant companion and guide, empowering us to make wise choices and discern between right and wrong. By surrendering to the Holy Spirit’s leading, we allow Him to transform our hearts and protect us from the snares of the enemy.

Guarding our hearts biblically is not a one-time task but a lifelong commitment. By implementing these practical steps and relying on God’s strength, we can protect our innermost being from the influences that seek to corrupt and distract us. As we guard our hearts, we create space for God’s love, peace, and joy to flourish within us, enabling us to live a life that honours Him and blesses others.

We must not neglect our physical bodies amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life. However, as believers, we are called to honour God with our bodies and recognise them as temples of the Holy Spirit.

The Bible teaches us that our bodies are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). We are created in the image of God, and our bodies serve as vessels for His glory. Therefore, it is essential to value and care for our physical well-being.

2. Balanced Nutrition:

Proper nutrition plays a vital role in maintaining a healthy body. The Bible provides guidance on nourishing our bodies with wholesome foods. In Genesis 1:29, God initially prescribed a plant-based diet for humanity. While dietary practices have evolved over time, the principles of balance, moderation, and gratitude remain relevant. We should strive to consume a variety of nutrient-rich foods, avoiding excessive indulgence or harmful substances.

Earning a Living – Godly Entrepreneurship: Building Businesses with Kingdom Values

Entrepreneurship is a powerful avenue for creativity, innovation, and economic growth. As believers, we have the opportunity to approach entrepreneurship with a godly perspective, aligning our business endeavors with Kingdom values.

Here are practical ways to build businesses that honour God and positively impact society.

1. Seeking God’s Guidance:

The foundation of godly entrepreneurship lies in seeking God’s guidance and aligning our business ventures with His will. Proverbs 16:3 reminds us, “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.” By seeking God’s wisdom through prayer, studying His Word, and listening to the Holy Spirit’s leading, we can make decisions that align with His purposes and bring glory to His name.

2. Integrity and Ethical Practices:

Integrity is a fundamental aspect of godly entrepreneurship. Proverbs 11:3 states, “The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.” As entrepreneurs, we should prioritize honesty, transparency, and ethical practices in all aspects of our businesses. This includes fair treatment of employees, customers, suppliers, and competitors, as well as responsible financial management.

3. Kingdom Impact:

Godly entrepreneurship goes beyond profit-making; it seeks to make a positive impact on society and advance God’s Kingdom. Matthew 5:16 encourages us, “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” By integrating our faith into our business practices, we can create products or services that meet genuine needs, promote social justice, and contribute to the well-being of individuals and communities.

4. Servant Leadership:

Godly entrepreneurship involves adopting a servant leadership mindset. Jesus exemplified this when He said, “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45). As entrepreneurs, we should prioritize serving others, whether it be our employees, customers, or the wider community. By valuing and investing in people, we create a positive work environment and foster long-term relationships built on trust and respect.

5. Wise Stewardship:

Entrepreneurs are entrusted with resources, talents, and opportunities. Godly entrepreneurship involves wise stewardship of these blessings. Luke 12:48 reminds us, “From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.” By managing our resources responsibly, minimizing waste, and considering the environmental impact of our businesses, we demonstrate good stewardship and care for God’s creation.

6. Balancing Work and Rest:

In the pursuit of entrepreneurial success, it is crucial to maintain a healthy work-life balance. God designed us to rest and find refreshment in Him. By prioritizing rest, observing the Sabbath, and setting boundaries, we prevent burnout and create space for spiritual and personal growth. This balance allows us to approach our businesses with renewed energy, creativity, and a clear focus on God’s priorities.

Conclusion:

Godly entrepreneurship involves seeking God’s guidance, practicing integrity and ethical practices, prioritizing Kingdom impact, embracing servant leadership, practicing wise stewardship, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. By integrating these principles into our entrepreneurial endeavors, we can build businesses that honour God, positively impact society, and contribute to the advancement of His Kingdom. As we align our entrepreneurial pursuits with godly values, we can experience fulfillment, purpose, and the joy of partnering with God in His work of transformation.

🥀Give Me Mercy🥀

Or as my Mother would have said – give me strength.

Actually Mercy and Strength are not the same.

This thought and subject came to mind in the past week.

I made time to meet up with a friend after work. We’ve know each other for 36 years.

Thursday was quite a fast paced day for me and at the end I am tired because I don’t sleep well and I have a early start the next day too and both ways are a 40 minute drive to go to work and back. . Don’t get me wrong I enjoy working in Lewes. It’s lovely to have a change of scenery and meet different people.

I could have left this friend in this situation that they have created for themself.

Being careless- lack of clarity. This opportunity is too good not to be implemented again. As they have got so far and the business is producing the beginning of a residual income it is a pity to quit though being careless.

It is on my mind to remember that this friendship is just a rollercoaster.

Lack of commitment has given no depth to our friendship.

These days I am interested in friendships where we are both “connected in the Spirit” Where both of us have given our lives to Jesus. Then in theory and in practice, we are submitting our lives to God to walk in the spirit. It’s a daily journey. Only those who have committed to do it understand what it means.

Then we know we have to forgive other people for the hurt and pain that they have caused us as we are expected to do as Christians.

God forgives us and in order that we might be forgiven we need to forgive others and that is the “mercy” of God given to us that we then have to show to others

In the Bible, God’s mercy means his pity, compassion and kindness towards people.

His mercy shows up in the believer’s life at salvation and then God continued to show mercy in forgiveness. Mercy triumphs over judgement but refusing God’s mercy is disastrous.

We ain’t trying to keep up with the Jones’s no more….

#KeepingupwiththeJoneses.

This came to mind when I was at my Aqua class on Saturday morning. The ways we all used to wants to be competitive, we were striving for so many things.

In the early 80’s I was working in two jobs, all day in the National Westminster Bank PLC and then in the evening working in the local theatre.

I never knew there was a song written about this! You can find the lyrics on lyrics.com.

Everyone trying to obtain possessions. Racking up lots of debt.

All the possessions bought on credit are having their toll these days. Interest rates rising and the cost of living going sky high.

There is the option to either spend less, or find a way to earn more.

I’ve found a way to earn more – email me for more details Stella@dailyramblingsofaprofessionalnetworker.com
