With Covid-19 travel has been put on hold, I am not able to go out of my town accept for work, so travel is a NO.

Expecting to go on a cruise this coming December as my daughter is treating me for my birthday so I am not going anywhere else. Thankfully for my online business, most of the training’s are online and are saved so I can watch them in my spare time.

Training’s are great, you always learn something new.

I’m focusing on building my Seacret business to create an additional income It’s rather like a franchise. They give you the plan to be successful. A proven plan that has helped others be successful You do have the option to tweek it to suit you. Most Franchises start at £2000.00 plus but you can join Seacret for $94, which will make you an active agent. Then there is a mission plan to follow that will get you on target to start making the weekly commissions.

I love working remotely and have done so on and off since 1993.  I found it very beneficial while bringing up my two children who are now adults.

I enjoyed working from home and being available to go to the school and joining in with their outings, helping with lunchtime clubs and afterschool clubs. My work fitted in between.

I had learnt some online skills and was able to find small business enterprises, here in the UK and globally who were offering similar services.]

Working globally via an internet connection gave me opportunities, A local business clubs I was offering #OnlineMarketing it was new, people didn’t think it would take off and now it’s a popular skill to learn and receive tangible results.

While working #freelancer I was part of the remote team for the online business club #Ecademy. Through #Ecademy I joined their premium membership #Blackstar and was able to attend workshops and learnt the benefits of networking which evolved my business skills and I was able to create a service to offer other people  > Social Media support/creating and social selling.

We undertook several profiling assessments with view to improve teamwork and networking.

I love travel and meeting other people from different cultures and in 2012 I joined a Travel and Lifestyle club. The opportunity to travel, meet other like-minded people and I was particularly drawn to their self development programme because the church I was involved with also enlightened me to the fact I was “Born for More”

Thanks to the leadership of Marc Accetta via Marc Accetta seminars I am on a journey to develop a positive mindset and this is leading to an opportunity to  have a Life Style Upgrade   

Not to sink and feel like our glass is half empty, but to realise it is half full and rising because we have made the decision to believe that thanks to this opportunity and the people we share it with team effort will create us a good living and have the life we have always wanted and the assets we thought we could never afford.

Be In Control Of Your Future

I joined this amazing business in 2010. At this time I was working remotely, juggling full time self-employment and networking to find clients to use my business services, plus bringing up two children.

For the beginning of this journey, I was concentrating on building the network as I didn’t have enough money to travel, though I used the membership to get wholesale prices for airfares and hotels when I was networking in Europe.

After completing the D.I.S.C profiling at our church I was encouraged to do a coaching course with the aim to be a Business Coach. I can see now I should have just stayed focused with my business, gone onto their training events and followed their system and been more focused. But, I was resentful at this time! Other people were able to afford to travel, always posting pictures of where they had been and I felt discouraged and left the company.

I joined again in 2015 and went on two lovely vacations, I went to Dublin with my daughter and visited The Guinness Store House Tour and stayed at The Marker Hotel, Stayed at the Cava Spada Luxury Resort and Spa with my son in Chania, Crete. I went to some training too – in Belgrave, Rome and Berlin.

I went completely on my own to Rome and Berlin, travelled alone on the flights, got Uber taxis in the countries to the hotel and met up with other representatives from different teams during my stay.

I got another client for my Online Marketing work and then had to take a job in full time employment. I work in Lewes and it’s a lovely town and actually, I do enjoy this work because I work in a good supportive team and my manager can see my good points and encourages me to be my best and gives me variety with the tasks so I don’t get bored. However retirement is looming.

Life has past by fast and I only have nine years left in the corporate world! This Coronavirus 19 is a bit of a wake up call to focus more on sharing this opportunity with others in the same situation who would be interested in being part of a culture with positive energy and good team spirit working towards seeing everyone achieves.

We are all born into a system, we work hard at school, try to get the grades, get a good job and work hard, hope for pay rises. But we have to cut our coat according to our cloth. The same with where we live, renting is so expensive these days and meeting the criteria to rent has changed. Most good jobs these days are in other locations and time is spent travelling so it is difficult to find a part-time job that fits in with the day job as we just don’t have the time.

I have always had a desire to succeed and achieve my dreams. I’ve pushed my children to work hard and they are both doing well in their chosen occupations.
I enjoy encouraging and helping others to see their potential and succeed to change their lives for the better!!

I always check on Facebook ,Twitter etc for notifications to follow up with and this morning i was delighted to see a posting published by Social Media Examiner and shared by my colleague Mr Mike Turner @TinDigital about making the most of your #LinkedIn profile.  Well I for one are always interested in making #LinkedIn work better for me as and i love to share posts on my #SocialMedia page IT Personal Coach. After I did this I found out that I had been added to the #list  SMExaminer/most-engaged-followers.  Following on from that I was then added to the list jrtaaffe/socialmedia-people.

My Twitter to be fair needs a bit of tweeking, but with

I’ve been added to quite a few lists and of course I have created some of my own which have worked out to be beneficial to share content to my followers.

Suddenly the Horizons were Limitless.

I carried on working through my emails and notifications , answered an email from a business connection on #LinkedIn who had sent me an invitation to join a Global Market Place.

When I first got involved with Internet Marketing I made the acquaintance of people involved with International Trade and participated in the buying and selling of commodities, so I was drawn to find out more information on TLDE.

Update-Five years on….

I originally wrote this blog five years ago, quite a few changes have occurred so just thought it was a good idea to update.

Started of as a Sole Trader/Founder of  Ivey Business Services in 1992, still operating the same. Became know as TheConnector – changed this to TheConnectorInt

Marketing is via Networking –  all about relationships as Rob Peter’s would say #RelationshipCapital. – the art of getting to know people and finding out what they need.  They in turn maybe interested in what you have to offer or maybe interested to give you referrals or advocate you or even better collaborate with you.

Collaboration is great because  different people bring different skills to the table and so forming a team with everyone working towards the same purpose brings outstanding results.

I am delighted to be collaborating with Simon Barry from KiplingandKirbyVentures and also Rob Peters founder & CEO of StandardofTrust.com 

I have always enjoyed Networking events and Simon needed to have a regular monthly meeting as an incubator for start-ups.
