Travelling to Belgrade, Serbia was very much a spur of the moment decision! I decided that if there was somewhere to stay I would go. A friend said her companion was ill and unable to travel so i could take her place.
The reason for the trip was World Ventures, Momentum and despite being a representative for over six years my first training event.
The day started off quite early as i had to travel to Heathrow Airport to meet them. All was well and we arrived safely despite having to change in Munich and sadly our luggage getting left behind. This incident has never happened to me before in all my years of travelling. It was uncomfortable to say the least not to have my toiletries and a change of clothes when I arrived.
I guess staying in such a lovely hotel and the wonderful breakfast made up for the problem of no luggage. Our luggage wasn’t going to arrive until the afternoon so we went off and visited the town in Belgrade and saw some local touristic spots. We had lunch in a small cafe. Belgrade are still allowing smoking in their establishments and finding one that wasn’t packed out with smokers was a bit of a challenge!!
Well Momentum was amazing, I was able to listen and digest quite a few tips on how to prospect and it was exciting to see how other people shared their own personal journey in the business and how the personal development has made a bit impact to their lives.
I made some new friends and committed myself to going to Bootcamp in Rome in May 2016. Seemed like a long time away but now it is just next week!!
Since the Serbia trip I have travelled lighter and just had the cabin bag with just what I need. Lighter to take just need to remember the airline policies with regards to liquids.
